About WIST

The biennial AWIS conference formerly known as, "Women in bioScience," (WIB) is expanding its focus this year and has been renamed, "Women in Science and Technology" (WIST).

"Bridging the Gap" is the theme of the 2009 WIST conference. The conference will encompass topics interesting to all women in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). This one-day symposium includes two keynote speakers and a series of workshops, round-tables, and seminars focusing on career and personal development and hot topics in science. It is an excellent opportunity for members of the scientific community including graduate students, post doctoral researchers, and professionals at all levels in STEM to network, develop new skills and explore career opportunities.
